Air Force 3-Color OCP uniform Master Historian badge embroidered. Authorized in 1993 and awarded to ONLY enlisted personnel in the historian career field. This career field has the responsibility of gathering and organizing unit historical information including artistic works in order to preserve the heritage of the associated base, unit, or major Command. In light of the numerous base clothing and unit inactivation, this field has become even more important over the last several years. The career field also has the responsibility of coordinating with the Air Force museum system to insure proper disposal of historical items.
